Tearful John Terry apologises for red card against Barcelona in Champions League semi-final
John Terry was shown a straight red card in the first half of Chelsea's 2-2 Champions League semi-final draw with Barcelona on Tuesday.
The moment of madness saw Terry knee Alexis Sanchez in the back and left Chelsea with ten-men for most of the match inside Camp Nou. Despite this, Chelsea squeezed through to the final with a 3-2 aggregate victory and altthough their skipper will now miss the showpiece in Munich, he said he was pleased for his teammates. He apologised to the players and fans for his actions, while conceding he deserved to be sent off.
