After speaking to us about the relationship between Twitter and sport Lewis Wilthsire, head of sport for Twitter UK, told us who he enjoys following on the site. Our full interview with Wiltshire can be found here: http://ancr.it/atUT.
"I use Twitter for personal and professional reasons. I follow all of the Premier League clubs and loads of Premier League players, as well as tons of F1, cricket, rugby accounts and so on. But I also get my news from Twitter - @GarethOConnor is a one-person news machine plus there's @BBCNews and others like it, and I use it to keep track of my personal interests, so you'll see lots of @49ers accounts (I'm a lifelong San Francisco 49ers fan), music accounts (I'm a @springsteen and REM devotee) and I follow my wife, who I occasionally also see in person when my job allows!
"The same is true for anyone’s interests. Just search in Twitter for a person, subject, team, musician, band, whatever. It’s the shortest distance between you and your interests," said Wiltshire.
