Uncapped Ruddy joins Green as Hart's understudy
25 year-old Norwich 'keeper John Ruddy has been rewarded for his fine performances in his debut Premier League season with a call-up to England's Euro 2012 squad. Ruddy is joined by Robert Green of West Ham as understudies to Joe Hart whose inclusion comes as no surprise.
Green has been a part of West Ham's promotion chasing campaign in English football's second-tier this season whilst Ruddy played 28 times for Norwich in the highest level of his professional career. The pair were preferred to the likes of Scott Carson, who is playing in Turkey currently and has been excellent for Bursaspor this season. and Ben Foster who resisted the temptation to come out of international retirement and represent England once more.
