Hotly pursued Lille midfielder Eden Hazard has dropped a huge hint that he will be playing for Manchester City next season, according to the Manchester Evening News.
Roberto Mancini looks set to pile more misery on Sir Alex Ferguson's side by beating Manchester United to the signing of the 21-year-old playmaker, in a deal worth more than £30m.
And the 21-year-old Belgian has dropped his strongest hint yet that the Etihad will be his destination this summer.
“I have already said that my wish is to go to the Premier League,” Hazard told a French TV station. “It’s the blue that I’ll be wearing next season. Definitely the blue.”
It's no secret that the Belgian international wants to play in the Premier League, but up until now, for what club has been a mystery. But this hint more or less confirms he is indeed set to join City in the summer.
Hazard has notched up 17 goals and 14 assists in Ligue 1 action alone this term.
Man United, Arsenal and Tottenham are said to be chasing the attacker as well as a number of other European heavyweights but a move to table topping City, who could clinch their first league title in 44 years this Sunday, is looking more and more likely.
